Phil has been managing people since he was 16 years old. He is the coauthor of the book Help Desk Manager’s Crash Course and has been working with clients to create great customer service experiences for the past 15 years. Phil’s mission on this planet is simple: to help people unleash the greatness inside them, by connecting people to the ideas, people, and information they need to crank it up and take things to the next level.
Phil has been writing at Make It Great! Institute since early 2005, where he has shared over 2200 articles on building business relationships management, leadership, customer service, personal empowerment, and personal productivity topics. In 2010, he launched The Management Experts with Steve Roesler to offer a one-stop shop for all things management. From 2007 until 2009, Phil wrote for b5 Media on the Slacker Manager blog, where his work was recognized as one of the top 50 HR blogs.
He most recently served as vice president of information technology at a regional financial services firm in Milwaukee, WI where he led a team of IT associates in delivering great customer experiences. Phil is a frequently sought after speaker at various companies and professional organizations. He energizes, educates, empowers, and entertains his audience by sharing the tools they need and helping them find the right questions so they can make it a great day.

Nick McCormick is a practicing Information Technology manager with a passion for leadership development. He is also the owner of Be Good Ventures, a company committed to helping managers improve. To that end he has authored a book entitled, Lead Well and Prosper, 15 Successful Strategies for Becoming a Good Manager.
Miki Saxon
