Hi Andy, You and I think alike; my final suggestion was for a HydroRight. I got mine at Home Depot and LOVE it. Now I feel virtuous every time I flush, instead of guilty.

Yes, they are Bellis Perennis, I actually had to order the seeds from a place in Berkeley; had to talk hard, since it is strictly wholesale. I read about them in the Chron years ago, they even grow in the Swiss Alps!

I love your tip about the HydroRight. I’m going to check into that until I get can a new toilet for our second bathroom. We already have an eco one for our first restroom.

I like the tips you have here. I have gone one step further with my toilet. I have installed a HydroRight dual flush converter by MJSI. This kit conserves water by using far less water to flush liquids. This kit usually sells for lees than $20 online and in stores. Plus, it installs with no tools required in minutes. All of this adds up to water conservation and money saved on water bills.
